Pyrazole: An Important Core in Many Marketed and Clinical Drugs
Abstract In recent years, increasing research attention has been directed to structurally diverse pyrazole derivatives, many of which have become commercially available drugs with antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, analgesis, antihyperglycemic, hypoglycemic, antineoplastic, antidepressive activities, etc. Due to their wide range of biological activities, pyrazole derivatives can be used to treat a range of diseases, such as cancers, respiratory diseases, infections, and neurological diseases. This review summarizes recent advances in the use of the pyrazole scaffold and provides pharmacologists with a road map for developing novel preclinical and clinical pyrazole-based drugs..
