Minimal Access Approach to Medial Wall Acetabular Lesion: an Innovative Technique

Abstract Biopsy of medial wall acetabular lesions pose a unique challenge as access to the area is limited, as it requires wide incision to approach deep-seated area. We describe here minimal access approach for such acetabular lesions. This case report describes an innovative minimal access approach to this complex situation. A 12-year-old girl with an osteolytic lesion in the inferior medial acetabular wall was treated with biopsy and curettage through a laparoscopic-assisted minimal access approach. The technical details of the procedure as well as outcomes of treatment are described. This case highlights ease of access to medial wall acetabular lesions through a laparoscopic-assisted approach..
