Optimization of Conditions for the Determination of Fuminosins $ B_{1} $ and $ B_{2} $ in Corn and Its Products of Its Processing by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography
Abstract A procedure was developed for the determination of fuminosins $ B_{1} $ and $ B_{2} $ in corn and its processing products. Conditions were optimized for the purification of sample extracts on ODS cartridges and for the derivatization and chromatographic determination of toxins. The influence of the composition of the mobile phase (the nature and concentration of the organic solvent and the concentration and pH of the buffer solution) on the retention of fuminosins $ B_{1} $ and $ B_{2} $ on the Kromasil C18 sorbent in reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography was studied. The average recovery was 90%; the detection limit calculated from the 3σ-value was 0.01 and 0.04 mg/kg for fuminosins $ B_{1} $ and $ B_{2} $, respectively..
