Temporal trends in later preterm and early term birth rates in 6 high-income countries in North America and Europe and association with clinician-initiated obstetric interventions

The study aims to evaluate the latest trends in later preterm and early term birth rates in 6 high-income countries in North America and Europe and association, if any, with clinician-initiated obstetric interventions. The results indicate that between 2006 and 2014, late preterm births decreased in the U.S. and also in Norway, while early preterm births decreased in Norway and Sweden. Clinician-initiated interventions increased in some countries but was not associated with preterm or early term birth..
