Of the 18 patients, the response rate (CR + PR) was 39% and the fifty percent-survival was 35 months. Improvement in symptoms and performance status was seen in 78% and 33% of the patients, respectively satisfactory palliation could be achieved with endocrine therapy for patients with metastatic breast cancer.
