Identification of Degradation Products of Cefoselis Sulfate by HPLC-ESI-Quadrupole Time-Of-Flight-Mass Spectrometry in Aqueous Solutions / Przemyslaw Zalewski, Robert Skibinski, Alicja Talaczynska, Magdalena Paczkowska, Judyta Cielecka-Piontek
Six degradation products of cefoselis sulfate in aqueous solutions were identified. For that purpose chromatographic system consisting of Kinetex, C18, 100A, 100 2.1 mm, particle size 5 μm column, mobile phase: acetonitrile - 0.1% formic acid (5:95 V/V) and a hybrid ESI-Q-TOF mass spectrometer was used. Masses of degradation products with high accuracy (0.09 - 4.64 ppm) were found. Following formulas were obtained: 128.08243 (C 5 H 10 N 3 O), 243.05471 (C 8 H 10 N 4 O 3 S), 370.06338 (C 13 H 16 N 5 O 4 S 2 ), 414.05324 (C 14 H 16 N 5 O 6 S 2 ), 451.13191 (C 17 H 23 N 8 O 3 S 2 ), 479.12777 (C 18 H 22 N 8 O 4 S 2 ) and 523.11859 (C 19 H 23 N 8 O 6 S 2 ) - cefoselis sulfate. Degradation pathways of cefoselis sulfate in aqueous solutions were suggested.
