A novel Lactobacillus plantarum strain and method for paeoniflorin-biotransforming using the same

The present invention relates to a novel Lactobacillus plantarum strain and a bioconversion method for paeoniflorin using the same and, more specifically, to a Lactobacillus plantarum LN180054 strain showing a bioconversion ability of converting paeoniflorin into benzoic acid and a bioconversion method for paeoniflorin using the same. According to the present invention, the Lactobacillus plantarum LN180054 strain has excellent bioconversion ability of converting paeoniflorin into benzoic acid, thereby being usefully used in development of preventive or therapeutic agents for various mental disorders..
