Preparing method of ferroferric oxide using iron scale

The invention discloses a preparing method of ferroferric oxide using iron scale. The method includes making the iron scale into FeSO4 solution; under the protection of nitrogen, dropwise adding ammonia solution to the FeSO4 solution, allowing Fe2+ to precipitate, so as to prepare a precursor, delta FeOOH, and controlling final PH value at 5.5 to 8.0; performing oxidation of the precursor at 80 to 100 DEG C for 1 to 3 hours to obtain the ferroferric oxide by the aid of the air-induced method; filtering a product, washing the product with water and drying it to obtain ultrafine homogeneous Fe3O4 spherical powder having good crystallinity; neutralizing ammonium sulfate mother solution obtained by filtering by the aid of lime to produce gypsum sediment and the ammonia solution; allowing the ammonia solution to return to the preparing process of Fe3O4 after filtration and concentration by evaporation. The method has the advantages of process simplicity, low cost of raw materials, recycling of ammonia in the system and environmental friendliness. Therefore, an effective, feasible, environment-friendly novel way for commercial production of Fe3O4 ultrafine powder is provided..
