PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nail coating agent having excellent biodegradability and safety.SOLUTION: There is provided a nail coating agent composed of a polylactic acid-containing aqueous dispersion which can remove a coating film formed on the nail with water, wherein the polylactic acid-containing aqueous dispersion preferably is a nail coating agent containing the following (1) to (4): (1) a polylactic acid; (2) one or more plasticizers selected from the group consisting of dimethyl adipate, diethyl adipate, dipropyl adipate, diisopropyl adipate, dibutyl adipate, diallyl adipate, bis(2-butoxyethyl) adipate, bis(2-methoxyethyl) adipate, dimethyl succinate, diethyl glutarate, diethyl sebacate, diisopropyl sebacate and a mixture thereof, (3) one or more dispersion stabilizers selected from the group consisting of an anionic polymer compound and a nonionic polymer compound; and (4) water.SELECTED DRAWING: None.
