Application of prodigiosin in preparation of medicine for preventing and treating nasopharynx cancer
The invention discloses application of prodigiosin in preparation of a medicine for preventing and treating nasopharynx cancer. The prodigiosin is found to have a selective killing effect on nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells for the first time, can inhibit multiplication capacity, clone formation capacity, movement, migration and invasion capacity and tumor sphere formation capacity of the nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells and induce apoptosis, and proves that the prodigiosin has the effect of inhibiting generation and development of the nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. The invention has important value in preparation of drugs for preventing and treating nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The novel nasopharyngeal carcinoma proliferation inhibitor or the novel nasopharyngeal carcinoma proliferation treatment medicine prepared from the prodigiosin is beneficial to relieving the economic burden of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients and has important significance on basic research and clinical treatment application research of nasopharyngeal carcinoma..
