The invention provides a Bi2O3 dodecahedron cage material assembled by amorphous nanodots and a preparation method of the Bi2O3 dodecahedron cage material. The material is of a hollow dodecahedron cage structure with a high surface exposure ratio, which is formed by assembling bismuth oxide amorphous nanodots with the size of about 10nm.
