The invention relates to a cell protection preparation containing lipoic acid or a lipoic amide analogue for alcoholic liver injury and application of the cell protection preparation, and the lipoic amide analogue is N-(2-(dimethylamino) ethyl)-5-(1, 2-dithiolan-3-yl) pentanamide (DMAE-LA for short). The invention confirms the effective dose range of LA and DMAE-LA for inhibiting ethanol and acetaldehyde induced cell death; pI dye fluorescence imaging is adopted, and it is confirmed that LA and DMAE-LA improve physiological interference of ethyl alcohol on AML12 cytoplasmic membrane potential; the DHE superoxide fluorescent probe is used for proving that LA and DMAE-LA effectively remove active oxygen; compared with LA, DMAE-LA can more effectively protect the completeness of mitochondria and lysosome.
