Riflessioni di informatica giuridica per l’ambiente. Digitalizzazione pubblica e applicazioni di intelligenza artificiale [Reflections on legal informatics for the environment. Public digitization and artificial intelligence applications]
The purpose of introducing and implementing new technologies in the environmental sector is twofold and aims to pursue both the reduction of the impact of human activities on the natural ecosystem and a better and more efficient management of the environment through the availability of information and simplification management of companies and public administrations. In the European strategy of the Green New Deal, the potentialities inherent in the management of digital data and the most advanced technologies are evaluated as a fundamental factor in pursuing the main sustainable development goals of the coming years, because they are capable of creating synergies between environment and economic growth. In this perspective, therefore, the environment and new technologies are placed as elements that integrate into a single vision of change. In the public sector, in particular, the digital transition of the environmental sector represents a new, highly innovative and very vast field of application, of specific interest for legal informatics, as well as the digitalisation of health, education, work, justice. Most urgent if we consider that the global crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the prospect of adaptation of EU countries towards the green revolution, aimed at achieving the international objectives of environmental protection and economic recovery..
