Les animaux sauvages détenus dans la Cité de Bunia (R.D. Congo) : Inventaire et application des lois relatives à la détention
Wild Animals Kept in the Town of Bunia (Democratic Republic of the Congo) : Inventory and Application of the Laws Related to Detention. A census helped to discover that 153 wild animals are kept in the town of Bunia among which 126 birds (82.35 %) and 27 mammals (17.65 %). Nevertheless, the detention of these species does not conform in most cases (99.35 %) to the related legislation. Such a practice reveals the necessity of adopting a new national strategy of protection and rational administration of Congolese biodiversity..
