Reporte de caso de síntomas psicóticos secundarios al tratamiento con Hidroxicloroquina en una paciente con Lupus eritematoso Sistémico
RESUMEN El lupus eritematoso sistémico (LES) es una enfermedad autoinmune, de afección sistémica y evolución crónica. Los fármacos utilizados para el tratamiento de este trastorno entre ellos glucocorticoides y drogas antipalúdicas como la hidroxicloroquina han reportado la aparición de síntomas neuropsiquiátricos como efectos adversos de su uso. El objetivo de este trabajo es reportar el caso de una paciente con diagnóstico de LES que presentó sintomatología neuropsiquiátrica en el contexto del tratamiento con hidroxicloroquina. Se revisará la evidencia disponible sobre los síntomas neuropsiquiátricos de frecuente aparición en él LES como así también del riesgo de aparición de estos síntomas secundario al uso de drogas antipalúdicas. ABSTRACT Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease, with systemic affection and chronic evolution. The co-occurrence of neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients with this disease has been registered in a higher proportion compared to the general population. In addition, the drugs used to treat this disorder, including glucocorticoids and antimalarial drugs such as hydroxychloroquine, have reported the appearance of neuropsychiatric symptoms as adverse effects of their use. It is my intention to report the case of a female patient of 40 years of age diagnosed with SLE who presented neuropsychiatric symptoms in the context of treatment with hydroxychloroquine. The objective of this work is to review the available evidence on the neuropsychiatric symptoms of frequent appearance in the SLE as well as the risk of the appearance of these symptoms secondary to the use of antimalarial drugs..
