MANAGEMENT OF DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS AT PAEDIATRIC POPULATION

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT ) was considered a rare condition in the pediatric population, more recent data show a significant increase in incidence. DVT occurs due to an imbalance of hemeostasis. There are incriminated multiple risk factors, of which the most common is the central venous catheter. Imaging evaluation plays a crucial role in early diagnosis of the disease.
