Intraabdominal Tuberculosis Cases Presenting with Peritoneal Carcinomatosis
Tuberculosis is an important public health problem in the world. Peritoneal tuberculosis occurs in about 1% of all cases of tuberculosis. Delay in treatment is the reason for the increase in morbidity and mortality. Since its symptoms mimic the symptoms of ovarian cancer and cirrhosis, it can be misdiagnosed and cause problems. In both peritoneal carcinomatosis and intraabdominal tuberculosis, abdominal pain, thickening of the acid, peritoneum and omentum and the presence of lymphadenopathies can be seen. Therefore, differential diagnosis should be made. Caseification necrosis is the main pathological finding of tuberculosis. Some cases, however, may progress with non-caseified granulomas. Successful results are obtained with standard antituberculosis drugs in the treatment of tuberculosis peritonitis. In this article, three cases of intraabdominal tuberculosis are presented..
