A dot enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (dot ELISA) using lentil lectin affinity purified antigens was developed for detecting IgG4 subclass antibodies to human cysticercosis.146 cased with cysticercosis,36 healthy controls and 40 cases of heterologous infections were used to assess the assay's efficacy.All but three of the samples from cases confirmed cysticercosis were positive;none of the samples from healthy controls or heterologous infections was positive.The assay is sensitive (98%) and specific (100%)..
